Have you read my previous post, “How to Choose a Web Hosting Provider for Your New Blog“? If not, I recommend reading that first before this post!
WordPress is the most widely used content management system (CMS). Most web hosts offer one-click installs of WordPress, simplifying the entire process. There are thousands of themes available, most for free, others for a fee.
This ultimate guide for setting up a new WordPress website covers everything from soup to nuts.
Now is the best time to learn how to use WordPress and leverage all it’s features, plugins, and themes, to generate money.
Let’s get started.
Create a New Website in Siteground
To create a new website, log into Siteground, and click on New Website in the upper right corner of your Websites list. If you have more than one hosting subscription, you will see a drop-down menu to select the desired hosting plan for your new website.
Go to the Add New Website page where the website creation process begins. In three steps, you will be able to set up a site.
First, select your existing domain name. As a second step, choose to start a brand new site. As a final step, you can also add extra services to your site.
Install WordPress on Your New Site
To install WordPress on your site, go to Websites > Site Tools > Site > App Manager. From the Application drop-down menu, select WordPress. Fill in the Application Setup and Admin Info details.
The entire process can take up to 30 minutes. Once the installation completes, you can manage your new website by logging into the WordPress Admin Panel with the credentials assigned to you. The only thing left to do is to log into Google Domains and point your domain’s DNS servers to the two Siteground servers assigned to your website. You can find this info in Siteground Site Manager.
